PRODUCT WARRANTY POLICY for DIY PURCHASES

For the purpose of this document, “HF” pertains to Hidden Fence. “dogwatch” pertains to a DogWatch Hidden Fence System. These terms and conditions are enforceable by all dealers of HF. For the purpose of this document, “HF” will be used as the architect of the document to simplify its warranty statement.

WARRANTY:

DogWatch ® electronic components carry a warranty, except batteries, nylon collars, contact posts and components; which can prove defective by reason of improper workmanship and or material for the period of time specified below.

The component must not have been previously altered, repaired, tampered with or serviced by other than a HF or DogWatch ® authorised facility. The product must not have been subject to accident, misuse, abuse or operated contrary to the instructions given by HF.

ALL WARRANTY CLAIMS MUST HAVE PROOF OF PURCHASE.

 

TRANSMITTERS:

T1200FMD transmitters – 3-Year  Warranty. Warranty covers electrical surges and/or operation failure due to parts. T1200FMD transmitters are NOT covered under warranty if it sustains ANY water damage, insect infestation or damage by pets or humans.

PT4 and SMART FENCE PT5 transmitters – 5-Year Warranty. Warranty covers electrical surges and/or operation failure due to parts. PT4 and PT5 transmitters are NOT covered under warranty if it ANY sustains water damage, insect infestation or damage by pets or humans

SMART FENCE Portal – 1-Year Warranty. Warranty covers electrical surges and/or operation failure due to parts. PT4 and PT5 transmitters are NOT covered under warranty if it ANY sustains water damage, insect infestation or damage by pets or humans.

 

RECEIVER COLLARS:

R12/ M12 Receivers3-Year warranty is in effect for electronic receiver box only and not applied to batteries, contact posts or nylon collars. Dog Chewed receivers are covered once only.

R9/ M7 Receivers5-Year warranty is in effect for electronic receiver box only and not applied to batteries, contact posts or nylon collars. Dog Chewed receivers are covered once only.

Smart Fence Receivers5-Year warranty is in effect for electronic component only and not applied to batteries, contact posts or nylon collars. Dog Chewed receivers are covered once only.

Batteries- HF does not warrant batteries used with DogWatch equipment.

Wire – HF does not warranty wire used with DogWatch systems. Breakage or deterioration of wire is not covered under any warranty in this document.

 

NO WARRANTY FOR PRODUCT LOSS.

A Lost product component cannot be warrantied. If no product can be presented to the dealer, whether by post, or      in person, then NO CLAIM for warranty is possible. This is non-negotiable.

NO WARRANTY is offered on:

batteries, nylon collars, contact posts, contact post washers, wire/cable.

All warranties granted in this document are for the sole use of the purchaser and are not transferable.

Any DogWatch component must not have been previously altered, repaired, tampered with or serviced by any other than dealer or DogWatch authorised facility. The DogWatch component must not have been subject to accident, misuse, abuse or operated contrary to intended uses.

5-Year Warranty*– covers DogWatch ® electronics for a period of 5-years, repair or replaceable. After 5- years, there is a service replacement or repair cost. Postage not included. The warranty is only valid from the date of purchase, till the end of the 5-year time frame. Any replacement for warranty in that time frame is bound by the original purchase date.

3-Year Warranty* – covers DogWatch ® electronics for a period of 3-years, repair or replaceable. After 3- years, there is a service replacement or repair cost. Postage not included. The warranty is only valid from the date of purchase, till the end of the 3-year time frame. Any replacement for warranty in that time frame is bound by the original purchase date.

HF does not warranty wire used with DogWatch systems. Breakage or deterioration of wire is not covered under any warranty in this document.

 

WARRANTY SERVICE (On-Site):

ALL ON-SITE warranty service is subject to a reasonable service charge. The service call out fee is non-negotiable.

WARRANTY SERVICE:

ANY products subject to warranty must be posted back to distributor for inspection prior to receiving the repaired or warrantied product returned.

Warranties do not include postage. Postage is solely paid for by the customer, unless the warranty is processed within 60-days of the original purchase date.

Warranties must be facilitated by filling out the WARRANTY RETURN FORM (below link)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. 30-DAY RETURN POLICY Customer may return products in original packaging. To be eligible for a product refund, customer will need to fill out the Return Authorisation Form within the 30-day time period of the purchase date.

    To facilitate the refund, product MUST be returned to our mailing address (262 Blackwall Road, Chuwar QLD 4306) within 14 days of filling out the Return Authorisation Form.

    As soon as we receive the product, the refund will be processed.

    A processing fee of 5% of the purchase price will be charged on all returned items. If your order was paid via AfterPay or PayPal, a 5% processing fee is charged on the total cost of the order, in addition to the processing fee.
    Any item that has been removed from its original packaging and/or used in any form is not covered by our 30-day money back guarantee policy; However, customer can receive partial purchase price depending on what has been used. Customer will need to contact 1800 223 364 for clarification of refund terms.

  2. WARRANTY. All DogWatch ® electronic products carry a warranty: except batteries, nylon collars, contact posts and components; which can prove defective by reason of improper workmanship and or material for the advertised warranty period. The warranty is only valid from the date of purchase, till the end of the warranty time frame. Any replacement for warranty in that time frame is bound by the original purchase date.
  3. ALL on-site warranty service is subject to a reasonable service charge.
  4. DOGWATCH hidden fence systems will not keep people or other animals from entering your pet’s safe areas. If you feel your pet will not be safe from outside visitors/intruders (human/animal), you should not solely rely upon the system top keep your pet safe.
  5. INSTALLATION. The customer must provide an 240v outlet and keep it dedicated and operational. HF accepts no responsibility for damage to underground pipes, wires, etc. HF is not responsible for re-landscaping. Installations must have some form of logic and based on the animals welfare. Preferences must be secondary to the safety of the animal. If customer has installation issues, or seeks on-site support, customer may contact a licensed HF dealer for assistance with the understanding there may be a fee.
  6. WARNING. The control panel component (transmitter) of the system includes a visual and/or visual and audio signal to warn of a system malfunction. Therefore, the transmitter is intended to be installed in a place where such signals can be easily seen and/or heard. If the transmitter is installed in an enclosed are or a place that isn’t readily accessible to the customer, customer will forfeit the benefits of the system’s warning functions for which Company assumes no responsibility. If tampering or misuse with the transmitter by the customer occurs, customer forfeits any warranty and company assumes no responsibility. Transmitters are NOT waterproof or resistant. Therefore, customer must not allow the transmitter to be in contact with water. Water damage IS evident, so customer is advised to not expose transmitters to the elements.
    6. WARNING. Some persons claim that a ES (electrical stimulation) from an electronic receiver can provoke an animal to become aggressive, and to attack or bite. Customer is at all times responsible for their animal’s behavior. Customer is hereby warned to be alert for growling, snarling, biting, or other aggressive behaviors by any animal using the system, especially during training. If such behavior is observed, particularly if it appears to be associated in any way with the system, Customer should immediately stop using the system, unplug the transmitter and contact HF. Reported incidents have typically involved: 1) dogs with a pre-existing aggressive tendencies; 2) other provocation at the time of incident. Reports alleging such incidents are rare. (less than 0.01% of the time)

EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NO OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, OTHER THAN THOSE PROVIDED IN WRITING HEREIN, SHALL APPLY TO THIS UNIT OR INSTALLATION. HF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE FOR ANY PERIOD IN EXCESS OR PERIODS OF THE EXPRESSED WARRANTIES PROVIDED ABOVE. IN ADDITION, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL CCC BE LIABLE FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE SUSTAINED, ECONOMIC LOSS OR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH SAID UNIT OR INSTALLATION.

  1. ENTIRE AGREEMENT. This instrument contains the entire agreement between HF and the customer with respect to sale installation of the unit and supersedes all previous negotiation, commitment, statement and representations, whether written or oral, pertaining thereto.
  2. EFFECTIVENESS OF AGREEMENT. This agreement becomes binding upon HF only when a monetary transaction has been enabled and funds have changed hands. None of the terms and conditions may be altered.

PRODUCT Warranty and INSTALLATION and SERVICE Guarantee    

For the purpose of this document, “Dealer” pertains to Dealer licensed as a Hidden Fence distributor. “dogwatch” pertains to a DogWatch Hidden Fence System. These terms and conditions are enforceable by all dealers of CCC, otherwise known as Hidden Fence. For the purpose of this document, “Dealer” will be used as the architect of the document to simplify its warranty statement.

No warranty is offered on: batteries, nylon collars, contact posts, wire/cable.

ALL on-site warranty service is subject to a reasonable service charge.

All products subject to warranty must be posted back to distributor for inspection prior to receiving the repaired or warrantied product returned.

No Warranty for product loss. Loss of product cannot be warrantied. If no product can be presented to the dealer, whether by post, or in person, then no claim for warranty is possible.

Warranties do not include postage. Postage is solely paid for by the customer, unless the warranty is processed within 60-days of the original purchase date.

  1. PET CONTAINMENT GUARANTEE. If customer’s animal is not satisfactorily contained within time stated on end of training period described by dealer, customer may return equipment to dealer for purchase price. (less wire cost, collar strap, and $70.00 removal fee.) Not satisfactorily contained means that the customer has upheld the promises itemised on the front of this document and the company has exhausted its containment options, but the animal continues to break through the signal field and escape the system. The guarantee shall not be applied to unforeseen circumstances, such as, equipment failures due to environmental factors or damage.
  • DOGWATCH hidden fence systems will not keep people or other animals from entering your pet’s safe areas. If you feel your pet will not be safe from outside visitors/intruders (human/animal), you should not solely rely upon the system top keep your pet safe.
  • INSTALLATION. Any additions or alterations or changes to the work contracted for shall be subject to additional chargers. The installer and customer will determine the final equipment and wire locations, based solely upon customer’s knowledge of the boundaries. It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect the installed wire and notify dealer within 7 days, if the wire is not properly located. The customer must provide an 240v outlet and keep it deticated and operational. The installer must drill through the most accessible location to gain access to the transmitter. A wire-laying machine is used to bury wire where possible, and a small slit is cut and sealed in the driveway. Dealer accepts no responsibility for damage to underground pipes, wires, etc. Dealer is not responsible for re-landscaping, structural alterations, or consequences of install. Installations are based on a “practical install” guideline, which, is defined by dealer or CCC. Installs are standardised by dealer and are performed within reasonable time frames and workmanship. Any unreasonable requests or standards not established by dealer or CCC are not considered negotiable for money-back guarantees nor negotiable in relation to perceived standard. Customer cannot establish a standard; although requests will always be considered. If customer is not satisfied with proposed installation standard, customer should decline to proceed.
  • WARRANTY. Dealer subject to the terms in the product manual, will replace or repair at its discretion. All DogWatch products, except batteries, which can prove defective by reason of improper workmanship and or material for the period of time specified below. ALL on-site warranty service is subject to a reasonable service charge.

The unit or installation must not have been subject to accident, misuse, abuse or operated contrary to the instructions given by dealer, otherwise, customer forfeits the warranty and/or any form of guarantee.

        5-Year Warranty- the 5-Year warranty is in effect for as long as the original purchaser owns the equipment.

        Warranty- covers all but dog chews, and signs of misuse or abuse.

        M7/R9 Receiver- warranty is in effect for electronics only and not applied to batteries, posts or nylon collars.

        3-year equipment warranty- 1200, R12, R12M

        Batteries- dealer does not warrant batteries used with DogWatch equipment.

  • WARNING. Occasionally an animal cannot be trained to avoid crossing the boundary, and sometimes even a properly trained animal may cross the Boundary. Therefore, Companies cannot guarantee that the system will, in all cases, keep customer’s animal within the established boundary. Accordingly, if customer has reason to believe that his or her pet may post a danger to others or harm itself, whether inside or outside of its Boundaries, customer should not rely solely upon this method of containment.
  • WARNING. Some persons claim that a electrical stimulation from an electronic receiver can provoke an animal to become aggressive, and to attack or bite. Customer is at all times responsible for their animal’s behavior. Customer is hereby warned to be alert for growling, snarling, biting, or other aggressive behaviors by any animal using the system, especially during training. If such behavior is observed, particularly if it appears to be associated in any way with the system, Customer should immediately stop using the system, unplug the transmitter and contact dealer. Reported incidents have typically involved: 1) dogs with a pre-existing aggressive tendencies; 2) other provocation at the time of incident. Reports alleging such incidents are rare. (less than 0.01% of the time)

Various animal welfare groups will make claims that electronic training can be detrimental to your pet physically and behaviorally. These claims are opinion only and are fundamentally philosophical in nature. Electronic collars can not injure your pet via the electrical stimulation output from the collar. E-collars by DogWatch only deliver transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation which is 100% harmless to the epidermis and overall anatomy of the pets body.  

       EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NO OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, OTHER THAN    THOSE PROVIDED IN WRITING HEREIN, SHALL APPLY TO THIS UNIT OR INSTALLATION. CCC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE FOR ANY PERIOD IN EXCESS OR PERIODS OF THE EXPRESSED WARRANTIES PROVIDED ABOVE. IN ADDITION, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL DEALER BE LIABLE FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE SUSTAINED, ECONOMIC LOSS OR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH SAID UNIT OR INSTALLATION.
